coverlowAddendum
is something of a literal title. It contains two essays, the first, 'Metamorphosis: Kurt Schwitters and the growth of Merz' is a footnote to a much more comprehensive body of literature exploring ideas around the series of Merz buildings.

The second essay, 'Translation and Transformation: Reading, Space and the City' is a different and more elaborate kind of addendum, it begins where the first essay ends, using the themes of translation and transformation to construct more of a speculative reading on the contemporary city.

Published by Littoral as part of the Merzman Festival, the format makes reference to the original Merz publications and contains both archive and commissioned photography.
